Do you rent tuxedos?
Yes. Mister Tuxedo specializes in tuxedo and formalwear rentals. We offer classic black tuxedos, ivory dinner jackets, morning suits, cutaways, tailcoats, and white-tie attire.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is necessary for regular tuxedo rentals or fittings. Appointments are only needed for custom clothing consultations or wedding party bookings.
We are open Monday–Friday from 11:00 AM–6:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM. Fridays and Saturdays are typically our busiest days.
How far in advance should I come in?
Most customers come in one to two weeks before their event. We recommend coming in as early as possible, especially during busy seasons, but we can often accommodate same-day or next-day rentals for a rush fee.
What is included with a tuxedo rental?
Our standard tuxedo rental includes the jacket, pants, formal shirt, studs and cufflinks, bow tie, and cummerbund. Shoes, upgraded self-tie bow ties, pocket squares, and suspenders are also available.
What styles do you offer?
We offer notch, shawl, and peak lapel tuxedos, as well as ivory dinner jackets with a shawl lapel. We also offer morning suits, cutaways, tailcoats, and white-tie options for more formal occasions. Colored tuxedos and specialty styles are available by special order.
Do you rent suits?
We specialize in tuxedos and formalwear rentals. We do not rent regular suits.
Why choose Mister Tuxedo?
One of the biggest advantages of working with Mister Tuxedo is that we own our inventory and have multiple tailors on site. That means we are able to check the fit in person, make adjustments when needed, and solve many issues quickly before the event.
Because everything is handled locally, we are able to offer a more personal fitting experience and make sure each customer leaves with a tuxedo that fits properly and looks right for the occasion.
How does the wedding rental process work?
The best starting point is for the groom to visit our store so we can walk through the different options. During that visit, we will discuss the tuxedo selection, take measurements, and have the groom try on the tuxedo.
To reserve the wedding weekend, we ask that at least one rental be paid for at that time. After that, groomsmen can come in individually for fittings whenever works best for them.
What if some groomsmen live out of town?
Out-of-town groomsmen can submit their measurements through our website at mistertuxedodallas.com by clicking the measurement tab and filling out the form. We ask that everyone’s sizes be submitted at least four weeks before the wedding.
When can I pick up my rental, and when is it due back?
Tuxedo rentals are typically rented from Thursday to Monday. Rentals are due back on Monday following the event unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Extended rentals may be available if you need to keep your tuxedo longer.
Can I try on my tuxedo before the event?
Yes. When you come in to pick up your tuxedo, you will be able to try it on before leaving the store. Since we own our inventory and have tailors on site, we can make adjustments if needed.
Can I purchase a tuxedo instead of renting one?
Yes. In addition to rentals, we offer both off-the-rack and custom tuxedos. Our custom tuxedos are made through companies in Canada, England, and Italy, giving customers a range of options depending on the style, fabric, and level of customization they are looking for.
Alterations are included with retail purchases.
